Practical use cases identified by the teams

The litigation teams selected Jimini as a legal document analysis tool for handling large volumes of opposing parties' documents, including pleadings, summonses and refusal decisions. In practice, they upload the documents and receive an automated legal analysis organised by response theme, with the counterarguments to develop identified. Two use cases have been formalised in particular:

  • Analysing an application or refusal decision: summarising the grounds, identifying legal weaknesses and structuring the response brief.
  • Comparing briefs: setting successive positions side by side to identify changes, areas of agreement and remaining lines of attack.

In M&A, the teams use Jimini to structure document review during due diligence: extracting key clauses from warranty packages, summarising shareholders' agreements, and identifying points requiring attention in industrial contracts or commercial leases. Each department can build its own analysis grids, tailored to the types of matter it handles.

Training tailored to each practice area

Jimini's rollout at BCTG included training sessions organised by practice area: litigation, corporate and M&A, employment law, commercial litigation, and IP and IT. Each group worked with its own types of matter, identifying the use cases best suited to its practice instead of following generic training.

This approach reflects one of Jimini's core principles: adapting to the diversity of legal work within a single firm, whatever the practice area.

Tools integrated into lawyers' daily work

Jimini is available directly in the BCTG teams' working environment: through the Word add-in for real-time drafting and correction, through document analysis, and through the Analysis Grid for standardising recurring document reviews.

The aim is not to replace lawyers' judgement. It is to free them from mechanical processing so they can concentrate their expertise on risk analysis, strategic advice and negotiation, supported by legal artificial intelligence.
